Not to be snide, but there's no speed adjustment for that particular effect because it's intended to do exactly what its name implies - Appear. If you want the text to fade in or 'appear' in some other way, use a different Entrance Effect:-) As for the 'typed in' effect, select the listing in the Custom Animation palette then open the Text Animations section.
